ICBM

Did you know reports say certain ICBM (intercontinental balistic missle) can travel up to 15,000 MPH... Others enter space and use the earths rotation to speed their reach, then come down using gravity and propulsion that tops over 4 miles per second....

In other words an ICBM could strike countries before a counter defense could even be launched

After thousands of American and Coalition troops laid down their lives to liberate Iraq, this vital country is on the brink of slipping into ISIS control...
How could this happen? How could 800 insurgents defeat 30,000 Iraq Soliders?

This is not the first time, during the first Gulf War, American forces entered thru Kuwait and once in Iraq met little opposition. Troops simply gave up. Later many troops stated they were not going to die for a leader and a govt they did not believe in.... Essentially they were Soliders more for a job than a cause.

Is that what is happening now? Do the Soliders and ppl of Iraq not believe in their govt? Was all the lives lost for nothing ? The billions of dollars spent wasted?

While on the brink, Iran stands ready to "help" Iraq. If this occurs how will Iranian influence affect the region.. Only time will tell

JORDAN A LETSCHERT : COUNRTY

Blue Force Tracker
Could you imagine?....

F-16 PILOT WAS READY TO GIVE HER LIFE ON SEPT. 11:
With no ammunition, pilot was ordered to take down United Flight 93

Late in the morning of the Tuesday that changed everything, Lt. Heather “Lucky” Penney was on a runway at Andrews Air Force Base and ready to fly. She had her hand on the throttle of an F-16 and she had her orders: Bring down United Airlines Flight 93. The day’s fourth hijacked airliner seemed to be hurtling toward Washington. Penney, one of the first two combat pilots in the air that morning, was told to stop it.

The one thing she didn’t have as she roared into the crystalline sky was live ammunition. Or missiles. Or anything at all to throw at a hostile aircraft.

Except her own plane. So that was the plan.

Because the surprise attacks were unfolding faster than they could arm war planes, Penney and her commanding officer went up to fly their jets straight into a Boeing 757.

“We wouldn’t be shooting it down. We’d be ramming the aircraft,” Penney recalls. “I would essentially be a kamikaze pilot.”

But she didn’t have to die. She didn’t have to knock down an airliner full of kids and salesmen and girlfriends. They did that themselves.

“The real heroes are the passengers on Flight 93 who were willing to sacrifice themselves,” Penney says. “I was just an accidental witness to history.”

Seventy years ago today, 160,000 Allied troops settled in on the English coast for their last night before the invasion of Nazi-occupied Europe. Less than 24 hours later, 9,000 will have died in the largest amphibious landing in history - the D-Day invasion of Normandy.

The night before D-Day, June 5, 1944, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe, distributed a note to his troops:

"Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force! You are about to embark upon a great crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers in arms on other fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened, he will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man to man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our home fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to victory!

I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory!

Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking."

-- Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, June 5, 1944.
